If I’m On A 1100 Calorie/daily Diet, Would I Still Lose Weight If I Went Over That Amount By 300-500 Calories?

Ok, so I’ve been counting calories and I’ve realized that it comes down to not what you eat but how much of it.
I’ve lost 20 pounds by counting calories; when I first started I was at 1200 calories but now I’m at about 1100 calories daily. My question is this…if I went over the 1100 mark by about 300-500 calories…I will still lose weight, right?

Probably not, unless you’re losing weight at an unhealthy rate right now.
To lose weight, you want to BARELY go under the calories your body needs every day. Since you should already be “barely under”, then adding that many more calories will just be stored as fat(unless you exercise to burn them off).
However, cheating every once in a while is fine, it’s good to reward yourself, but as long as it’s only for one day.

Yeah, as long as you’re eating the right kinds of food. You can eat a ton of healthy food and lose a whole lot of weight were as you can eat moderate amounts of junk food and still feel sluggish and fat. Just make the extra calories worth something, and always eat in moderation. Don’t always deny your pallet a little taste of something sweet!

You may not lose any weight, but you won’t gain any either. Especially if it was just 1 day.
Like I eat about 1400 to maintain my weight….so even if you do go 300-500 higher, you’ll be fine. 1 day isn’t gonna make any difference…you’ll still lose weight in the long run.

Negative Calorie Foods

The phrase, "negative calorie food", as highlighted in negative calorie diet programs and books, usually refers to foods that allegedly require more energy to digest than they contain. Since the process of digestion requires the use of calories for energy, sometimes the net amount of metabolizable energy available from a food is less than the gross number of calories contained in the food.
