not sure what is avarage, but with 1500 calories most people will loose weight slowly, and safely. Anything over 1200 is safe enought, and under is considering crash dieting. When crash dieting the statistics are the lost weight will come back very quick so it’s better to go for diet that recomends 1200 or more.

Depends on the weight you want to be. Find out how many calories you need to intake for the weight you want to be. There’s no set rules for calorie intake.

1500 is good but if you are needing to lose weight dieting sucks. Yes diet, but also exercise daily and then you can eat more(about 2000) I am 16 and i exercise all the time, being a skateboarder and a wrestler. I spend 2-4 hours every day, occasionally taking a day or two off, working my *** of to stay in shape. Beleive it or not, but its true. I run about 3 miles or more, i bike a long way. I play basketball(and create stupid mingames for myself to keep me moving and sweating), and i skate and wrestle. i also do a lot of pushups and situps. so you know beleive or not just cuz i am 16 doesnt mean i will automatically be skinny and have a good motabolism. most of the students at my school(about 1850 students total) are overweight. At least over 60% so thats why i get so into this. I mean, people say, your 16 you shouldnt have to worry about your weight, but i do all the time. As a result, i can run further than anyone in my school, and i set the pushup record at my shcool.(i have a six pack also haha,.) and even more, i have striaght A’s. See i work my *** of and it pays off. I also have been applying for jobs too. I mean. See this 1 simple question got me going about all this stuf… I just wanted to let you in on my story!:))

I’ve heard that your daily caloric intake should be 10 times your ideal weight–so if you want to weigh 120, only eat 1200 calories a day. You shouldn’t go below 800 calories a day–besides, who wants to weigh only 80 pounds?

Anything from 1,200 – 1,500 should be a good way to go. Losing weight slowly through better eating and exercise is weight that will stay off rather than glom right back on after a fast loss. Dieting takes a lifestyle change that is difficult to maintain unless you form healthier habits along the way that will stick with you for a lifetime. Good luck!

No…it depends on your body type…like your age, weight, height, and BMI. Also the number of calories you take in has alot to do with your blood sugar level, so make sure you are taking in the right amount so your metabolism isn’t slowed down thus burning fewer calories. Go to a dieting website and key in your body type info and it will tell you the amount of calories you need to maintain a healthy weight and shed unwanted pounds.

It depends on if you are male or female, set at a desk or physical work and what kind if calorie intake. Good calories or empty calories. I lost 35 pounds by cutting out all junk foods, and dairy products. I did notice after I got off the junk foods and dairy products the weight came off really fast and I had a lot more energy.I eat 8 small serving meals a day to keep my blood sugar level. Hope this helps.

1500 is about right, but it also depends on the person…

it depends on your height and weight and what your goal is. But mostly your height and weight. It’s around 1200-1500 normally.
