		<description>To maintain your weight you should eat 2,500 calories a day; since you want to loose weight you can trim that 500 calories or a little more.  So, I would eat between 1500 and 2000 calories a day. DO NOT get below 1200 calories a day for this does nothing for you body but makes problems instead.
How many calories you burn is totally up to you. For example say, you want to eat 2000 calories but you still want to burn off another 500, so you would walk enough to burn off those calories. (which is about 90-100 minutes of walking at a moderate pace)
If you want more help go to Self.com.  That magazine and website has helped me a lot with figuring out these exact questions (it&#039;s what I used to calculate your answers) They have a bunch of calculators you can use to figure out BMI, calories burned, calories needed, etc.  Also, you can sign up for their &quot;self challenge&quot; which basically online tools to help you track progress and plan progress.  Best of all...its all FREE.
