No, you just count your calories each day. You don’t alternate how many calories you eat each day

Some diets recommend a fast to start off the diet. A fast means zero calories for a day. It is recommended by some doctors, and when you go into hospital for an operation they give you nil by mouth before the operation. (that includes water)
What you should do is find out what your BMR is, your Basel metabolic rate. This is different depending on your sex, age, and height/weight.
1200 calories is a very low intake, and is unlikely to be sustainable over a very long period. It is probably better to take a more measured approach, and find out exactly how many calories YOU need on average to maintain your weight.
To do this, measure your calorie intake, and then gradually reduce the average over a period until you are losing the amount of weight at the pace you would be able to maintain the weight loss over a longer period.
I have found that I lose weight over 15 days when my average calorie intake is less than 3200 per day. Some days my calorie intake can be 4000 or more and some days 1800. However, most days it will be close to the average.

No stay on track that way your body could get use to an routine. It’s good to do 1200-1300 calories five day’s a week if you were to prefer 1400-1500 than make sure that u burn 500 of that off do not go hungry eat just stay within limit and eat until your good not full or stuffed and your calorie count should be just fine….
    Good Luck!!

Negative Calorie Foods

The phrase, "negative calorie food", as highlighted in negative calorie diet programs and books, usually refers to foods that allegedly require more energy to digest than they contain. Since the process of digestion requires the use of calories for energy, sometimes the net amount of metabolizable energy available from a food is less than the gross number of calories contained in the food.
