Want To Lose 35 Pounds By Summer?

Do you think its possible I could lose 35 pounds before June? I really want to get in shape for summer. Im taking Meridia which is a diet pill. It was perscribed from my Doctor so it’s not over the counter. Also, I’ve given up soda, fast food. I mainly eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast and then for lunch I eat carrots, celerey, kiwi, and sometimes the 100 calorie packs of diff things. (only one pack though)….I drink nothing but water. I come home from school work out for 40min-1hr. and eat grapefruits a lot. For dinner I eat chilli or some sort of low cal.homecooked meal.
Any suggestions of what I could eat to burn calories quicker?
Any workouts you suggest that I can do at home besides the tread-mill for 40 minutes (I do the fat burning program).
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like for the most part you are on the right track. Your diet is probably the most critical part so watch it carefully. Stay away from the Saturated fats and Sugar carbohydrates. Since you are exercising (hopefully strength training on top of your cardio routine) eat plenty of protein, which should be about 30% of your caloric intake. Complex carbohydrates (whole grains, leafy/green veggies, etc) are also necessary to provide you the energy you need. Eat small portions of proteins and complex carbs, often. A portion can be considered about the size of your palm. 4-6 meals of these portions each day is ideal to keep your metabolism at optimum level.

try interval training in which you do aerobic and weights. It usually goes 10 or so mins aerobic and a few mins of weights. you alternate back and forth for about an hour. It seems to work.

Sounds like you are on the right track and should lose the weight by summer just fine ;o)
Try hard not to skip exercising or sneak a snack if you do don’t give up just work harder to stay focused!
When I get hungry at bedtime I make myself drink a full glass of water before I hunt for any snack, if I’m still hungry after that I force myself out of the kitchen and check emails, read etc to get my mind off of it. Walking is very good excerise too if you have a place to do it safely.
    Good Luck!

remember, if you eat too few calories, you won’t lose weight. your body will think you’re starving to death and hang on to every calorie it gets.

I lost 55 lbs. last summer. I was taking a diet pill – Supramine. Drank only water, I only consumed 800 or less calories a day, it didn’t matter what I ate, I just made sure it was under 800 a day. They told me not to eat fruit, just meat and veggies. Nothing white!
I worked out on the eliptical machine for about 30 min a day.
I had to go to the state next to mine, b/c where I live you couldn’t get the diet pill. I think you can order online somewhere but not for sure.My friend took the same pill and lost 40.
good luck, I know how frustrating it can be.

Negative Calorie Foods

The phrase, "negative calorie food", as highlighted in negative calorie diet programs and books, usually refers to foods that allegedly require more energy to digest than they contain. Since the process of digestion requires the use of calories for energy, sometimes the net amount of metabolizable energy available from a food is less than the gross number of calories contained in the food.
