About My Calorie Intake?

For about a week now, I’ve been on a 1000 calorie diet. I did some research on it and it I found that it can really mess up my metabolism if I just eat that much calories. Now I’m thinking of going on a 1400 or 1500 calorie diet and burning off at least 300 calories each day. Is that better for my health? I want to lose my extra weight before the middle of summer.
Also, I now feel more hungry more often. Has my body been messed up by my one week 1000 calorie diet?

You NEED to eat 1800 calories a day. Plain and simple. You have to eat from the different groups, because they all do different things for your body. For instance, you brain is fueled by the energy obtained through carbohydrates. You need to get ahold of a nutrition text, and learn from there. Diets and pills don’t work, you need to make it a lifestyle if you want to be healthy. While you are trying to find a text, check out http://www.mypyramid.gov . It has tools to help you with your foods and exercise plans, and you can save your data for days or weeks at a time to see if you are obtaining healthy habits. You really really really need to eat more.

You don’t need at least 1800 calories a day. 1200 calories is as low as you can take it. Depending on much activity your going to be doing that should depend on your calorie intake. If your not doing much eat around 1200, if your going to doing a lot eat more around 1400.
