Losing Weight – Bmr, Calorie Intake Etc?

- Male
- 18.5 Years Old
- 5ft 7″ Tall
- 170lb, or 78kg
I don’t have an active lifestyle at all. The computer is my friend.
- My BMR is roughly ~1900.
- I need roughly 2545 Calories/day to maintain my weight according to sourced link.
I am a little confused. What is the relation between BMR and needed calories per day?
I am trying to slim down, lose the fat. So, I would need to reduce my diet to about 2000 calories per day right?
As long as I don’t drop under the BMR rate of ~1900, I will be fine. And as long as I take LESS than ~2500 calories a day, I will lose weight gradually?
This is just so confusing… what _exactly_ do I need to be watching out for?
If I am taking 2000 calories a day, and excersising an extra 500 calories off, that would mean 1500, and that would be BELOW my BMR…

Please dont take any notice of the BMR system.
Reduce calories slowly and eat clean foods unil you begin to lose weight. Don’t drop calories too quickly.
