Daily Intake Of Protein?

I’ve heard a lot of answers on this… the one I’ve heard most is that I should consume about 1-1.5 grams of protein for every pound I weigh. Let me give you my specifics to make it easier, because consuming the right amount of protein is important to me lol…
* I weigh 150 lbs, and lift weight 3 times a week, in the process of trying to tone and build muscle
* I’m 17 years old, on about an 1700-2000 calorie diet
* I currently consume about 95-100 grams of protein a day
Any advice greatly appreciated!

    1g per pound is a good rule of thumb and you can’t go wrong. This ensures your muscles are getting sufficient amounts. Its better to have too much than too little. Especially if you are trying to build mass.

    drink 2 protein shakes a day, one immediately after u wake up, and one immediately after your workout, and since you weigh 150, try to take in about 170 grams of protein a day to gain muscle
