Diet Pop?! Okay Or Not?

okay, so i’ve been watching my calorie intake lately and i’ve noticed how much people say diet pop is bad for you. problem is i am like addicted because it has zero calories and fills me up. I don’t starve myself, but sometimes i think i’m hungry when i’m really not so i drink diet pop.
so anyway my question is: is it bad for me?
p.s. i really don’t think i can stop drinking it, but maybe reduce the intake. i just love it. lol.

    ok, so first of all, i have to say in regards to people saying regular soda is better for you, that isn’t true. and as a diabetic, i can say that artificial sweeteners don’t make you crave sugar. trust me, diet soda is much better for you than regular soda.
    now, as for if diet soda is bad for you, the answer is yes. the reasons are:
    1. carbonated beverages in general are bad for you, because the carbonation leaches calcium.
    2. it’s quite possible that you can become dehydrated because you drink soda instead of water. that feeling you get where you think you’re hungry, but you’re not.. that’s your body telling you that you’re dehydrated.
    3. if you’re drinking anything caffeinated, you should know that caffeine in general is bad for you, as well
    4. if the soda you’re drinking has dyes in it, especially red dyes, you should know that they are also bad for you. in fact red dye has been linked to ADHD
    5. it’s true that artificial sweeteners produce toxins as a byproduct, but you would have to drink a very large amount for it to really be dangerous. still, something to keep in mind if you binge drink diet soda.
    it’s okay to drink diet soda… just try to drink more water than you do soda, and a calcium supplement wouldn’t hurt either.

    Yeah it’s pretty bad for you, it contains artificial sweeteners like Splenda, Aspartame, and Sucrolose, which are known to cause cancer and plenty of other bad things. Artificial sweeteners are also known to make you CRAVE sugar.
    In the end, regular soda is way better for you.
    If you like the carbonation just drink flavored carbonated water.

    yup it’s bad for you because it has all of the negatives associated with normal pop, along with chemicals used to replace sugar. Plus, in my experience, people get really addicted to diet pop.

    Research has prove in it takes one year to lose 8lbs by just switching to diet pop and also it has the same chemicals as splend which help cancer cells after 30 years.

    It has so many horrible chemicals in it such as aspartame.

    That stuff is poison plain and simple and I think it taste like crap compared to sugared pop. Water has zero calories. If you want to get filled up drink tea or coffee. Hot drinks fill me.

    yeah, pop is no good. all pop. no matter what. try a fruit juice instead (w/o hfcs). but i guess diet is better than regular, right?

    If you’re not hungry, but thirsty, drink water.
