How Is This Possible? I Intake Negative Calories Per Day? Am I Calculating Something Wrong?
I started counting calories but these seems WAY off. How is this possible?
I’m in good shape but just felt like finding out how many calories I intake a day. One day I attempted to keep it low just to see how easy or how hard it would be. Here is what I’ve read:
Average person burns 2000 calories a day.
If you are dieting, you want to have 500 LESS calories than your designated intake per day. This of course depends on your height, weight, and activity level.
So without even taking any of that into consideration, here is what happened when I counted calories:
Ate about 400 calories for breakfast in raisin bran cereal.
Ate a TV dinner for lunch, only 350 calories.
Ate a chicken flatbread sandwich at no more than 1000 calories.
Now, that is not even 2000 calories. Which means, assuming I am “an average person”, I also burned 2000 calories that day just by living, not even accounting my physical activity in.
Therefore, I am in the NEGATIVE numbers for total calorie intake for the day. Is this correct? Am I calculating something wrong?
you said it yourself, you kept your calories low
eating less calories than you burn ( getting in the negative ) is how people lose weight
i dont understand what you dont get…
500 cals is how much less cals you should eat than u burn to lose weight
I burn 2000 cals a day and i eat 1500 cals a day, therefor I lose weight….Simple right?
You are counting the 2000 calories twice.
You’re making this waaaay more confusing then it should be.
