Will Not Eating After 5pm Slow Down My Metabolism?

Has anyone tried the do not eat after 5pm diet? If so, any luck losing weight? how much did u lose?
I understand that my calorie intake will be reduced so I will lose weight.
I think I’ll give this diet a go but I’m just wondering if this will slow down my metabolism and therefore make me gain weight?

Well if you are going to bed at 8 that is fine. Otherwise you should eat about 3-4 hours before bed. Or, if you eat dinner at 5, then just have a small, healthy, low carb, low fat snack a couple hours later. You want to keep your metabolism going or you will go into starvation mode which is when your body slows it down to conserve energy.
Plus, if you go to bed hungry you will not sleep well. When you do not get proper sleep, is makes it more difficult to lose weight.
In order to lose weight, you need to eat small healthy meals every few hours, get 7-8 hours of good sleep, exercise regularly and drink a lot of water.

It does slow down your metabolism…. usually, many are hungry during dinner time, so if you let yourself be hungry without eating.. then that will definitely slow it down!
I followed a 1,700-1,800 calorie in-take, and under 40 grams of fat, plus working out…….. and I ate at night (At least 2 hours before going to bed!)
I lost about 1lb-2lbs a week… yes it’s a little bit, but this is the healthy way to do it!

yeah i tried that diet and it worked with me… there’s a diet book by bob green if i’m not wrong said that you shouldn’t eat after 6 p.m. and don’t miss the breakfast ..
what happen that when you wake up in the morning your metabolism is to slow so the breakfast will encourage it ..that make you born more calories ..
i did that and i kept walking about 45 to 60 min. 3 to 4 times a week and it worked with me ^^
good luck with your diet hope it will work with ya

you should have a snack after five, half a cucumber or a small banana to keep your metabolism going throughout the night.
I used to have a snack at 8:00 or 8:30 and then went to bed about two hours later.
