Am I Eating Too Little?
As a recovering anorexic sometimes I count my daily calorie intake to make sure I’m eating enough… and well, the last two times I have I’ve fallen somewhat short. Both counts were under between 1000-1200, and as someone who exercises for at least 2 hrs a day, I know that this isn’t enough. Take what I ate today for example:
breakfast: 1 small bowl of shreddies with 1% milk -210 cals and 1/2 cup oj -50 cals
lunch: 1 homemade smoothie (made with 1 banana, about 3/4 cup frozen blueberries, 1/4 cup fat free yogurt, and around 1 tablespoon hemp hearts) – 200 cals, homemade healthy cookie (it really is healthy! it’s 100% whole wheat and contains apple, carrot, raisins and oats) – 180 calories
Dinner: Whole wheat, vegetable calzone with mozarella and curry sauce – 450 calories with a very light salad – 50 calories and v8 juice – 50 calories
altogether thats 1190 calories. last week when i counted it was 1050. what can i change in my diet to boost the calorie count a little?
DRINK MILK!!
also, peanut butter is healthy
eat like 3 of those healthy cookies
enjoy some donuts
make a milkshake instead of a smoothie
eat some more fats and carbs like bread with peanut butter eat 2 peices of bread with 2 tablespoons of peanut butter a day. I know adding fats is hard especially as a recovering anorexic but u got 2 do it otherwise you are not going to heal
