Alright, i am trying to figure out if my workout/diet will prove effective.<br />
First off im not looking for IMMEDIATE results but maybe within two months would be nice.<br />
I am 6&#8242; 2&#8243; and weigh 235, i am very broadly built, so im not fat but i have a decent pudge around the middle.<br />
So, i consume between 1700 and 2800 calories (recommended for my body type is 3067~) on any given day depending on daily activities.<br />
Then my workout schedule is as follows:<br />
M: Weights<br />
T:Biking 1- 1.5 hrs<br />
W: Weights<br />
Th: Biking 1-1.5 hrs<br />
F: Weights<br />
Sat: Biking<br />
Sun: day of rest<br />
all &#8220;Weights&#8221; are :<br />
6 sets 10 of dumbell bench press 20lb each hand<br />
6 sets 10 of dumbell bench press 30lb each hand<br />
5 sets 15 of dumbell flys 8lb<br />
10 sets 10 curls 20<br />
10 sets 10 curls 30<br />
btw all i own is dumbells due to space<br />
all biking is at 12mph+ steady terrain<br />

Both counts were under between 1000-1200, and as someone who exercises for at least 2 hrs a day, I know that this isn&#8217;t enough. Take what I ate today for example:<br />
breakfast: 1 small bowl of shreddies with 1% milk -210 cals and 1/2 cup oj -50 cals<br />
lunch: 1 homemade smoothie (made with 1 banana, about 3/4 cup frozen blueberries, 1/4 cup fat free yogurt, and around 1 tablespoon hemp hearts) &#8211; 200 cals, homemade healthy cookie (it really is healthy!  it&#8217;s 100% whole wheat and contains apple, carrot, raisins and oats) &#8211; 180 calories<br />
Dinner: Whole wheat, vegetable calzone with mozarella and curry sauce &#8211; 450 calories with a very light salad &#8211; 50 calories and v8 juice &#8211; 50 calories<br />
altogether thats 1190 calories.  last week when i counted it was 1050.  what can i change in my diet to boost the calorie count a little?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am hosting a party for the child of a friend of mine. The boy is over weight and the parents were advised by the GP to put him on a supervised diet. Now they are trailing all the way to the UK from Canada and I wanted to give him the best birthday ever&#8230;. Full-English breakfast, Muffins, Birthday cake etc&#8230; But that&#8217;s hardly suitable now.<br />
I have already arranged for a variety of activities while they are here (kayaking, rock climbing, walking and biking tours &#8211; fun activities that involve a little bit of exercise) but also museum trips and a shopping spree (girl&#8217;s gotta shop!) I am really just struggeling with the food bit on the actual day.<br />
He will turn 9 and I really want it to be a memorable day without a gloomy diet and the daily debate of weight-loss hanging over him.<br />
How can I still have a typical birthday party for him but as little calories as possible. I don&#8217;t want him to feel bad about his weight on his birthday by munching on rice crisps!</p>

I was thinking my diet would consist of beans, legumes, veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds, non-fat yogurt, low-fat-no-bad-stuff cheese, and pretty much any other natural thing. I also take a multivitamin, and a fiber pill thing. I limit myself to 1250 calories a day. If I have to eat junk food I will eat a very very little amount and will subtract that amount of calories from my daily limit.<br />
For exercise, I will stretch for 15 min. every day, play racquetball for 1 hour a week, and run on my elliptical machine for 1.5 hours a week(non-consecutively.)<br />
I am trying to lose 5 pounds.<br />
I&#8217;m 5&#8242;0&#8221; 104 pounds.<br />
I&#8217;m already a vegetarian.<br />
How long should it take to lose 5 pounds?<br />
Should I change anything?</p>
